I’m baaaaack! (And I’ve been nominated as well)

I have a lot to tell you all. And it all stems from that Robots in Disguise concert a few months back (remember?).  Here’s a version of events (mine):

• 8:15 Rosie and I arrive at the gig (half an hour late, as my father got lost on the way and had to ask a drunken Brummie)
• 8:20 Rosie and I enter the Carling Academy after geting lost (again) and being told where o go by a girl with pink hair.
• 8:30 A support band finishes. We assume that he next people on stage will be the girl who has been fucking Noel Fielding and her band-mate.
• 8:35 We are wrong. The next band appear to be called Huski. Their lead singer has a very curious accent. We spend much time trying to decide where she is from.
• 9:00 (approx) Huski finish their set. We wait for the Robots with eager anticipation.
• 9:10 We wait with some more eager anticipation.
• 9:20 After even more eager anticipation, the Robots eventually take to the stage and start to play GIRL.
• 10:10 (approx) Robots leave briefly, then come back on for one more song. The song is called Arguments. Dee Plume decides that now is the best time to fling herself off the stage and into the waiting arms of about 70 teenagers. One of the above is me. As she passes over me, her shoe clips me in the side of the head. I am temporarily stunned and almost drop her. Luckily, Rosie is in place to grb her before she plummets to a certain death on the floor, which is not only sticky but covered in shards of plastic.
• 2:00 Rosie and I watch The Mighty Boosh back at mine.
• 1:30 (next day) I post news of the evening’s antics on the ‘net. I especially focus on the head-kicking incident, which I post on Moob’s tenuous connections award.
• Today: I discover that my entry has been shortlisted! It is here and proud for all to see. So everybody…
